CEX.IO is one of the only exchanges that accepts credit card payments for crypto purchases. Credit/debit cards are a fast and convenient payment method. Unfortunately, sometimes card payments are declined, but most can be resolved within minutes by checking your card settings in online banking or contacting your bank. Check out this guide to get things sorted out quickly.
When using a card, make sure to check:

Card settings
We've noticed that the reasons for most declined card payments are general card settings and bank requirements.
So before using your credit/debit card, check that:
Internet payments and/or P2P operations are allowed
Your card has sufficient limits for online payments
Your card-issuing bank allows quasi-cash or cash advance transactions
Most banks categorize crypto-related payments as quasi-cash or cash advance transactions. You can easily clarify this information by contacting your bank.
Card type
Make sure that your card is not a business, prepaid, or gift card.
Preferably, use a Visa or MasterCard debit or credit card.
Important: Only personal cards are allowed.
Sometimes, we may need some additional information to make sure that you are the real cardholder. If that happens, our Compliance Officer will contact you via email.
Payment details
As the crypto market changes quickly, you may want to make quick trading decisions and payments. When you’re in a rush, it's easy to mistype or overlook some important card and payment details. This may result in a declined transaction.
So when making a card payment, check that:
You have sufficient funds on your balance
You’ve entered the correct amount
Make sure to consider bank commission and exchange rate fees if your card currency is different than the currency you selected on CEX.IO
The CVV or CVC code is correct
The 3D secure code is also correct (if required)
