CEX.IO was the first crypto exchange to accept card payments for crypto purchases. Credit/debit cards are a fast and convenient payment method for most of our customers and are suitable for instant transactions.

To buy cryptocurrencies with a card, and make deposits and withdrawals, customers should link it to their CEX.IO Wallet. With a card saved in the account, participants can save time when making transactions.

You can use Visa or Mastercard debit or credit card, both physical and virtual cards are accepted.

To link a payment card to your CEX.IO account:

  1. Log in to your CEX.IO account and go to Wallet page.

2. Switch to the Account Manager tab

3. Click Add Credit/Debit Card

4. Enter your card number, provide the expiry date, and click Add card.

Tip: Switch on the Trusted mode is you want to skip the 2-factor authentication (2FA) for your future card transactions.

The card verification usually takes a few minutes if all information is provided correctly.

As soon as it's verified, you'll receive a notification to the email address linked to your account.

Important: Only personal cards are allowed.

Sometimes, we may need some additional information to ensure you are the real cardholder. If that happens, our Compliance Officer will contact you via email.

Please note that only users who are over 18 years old are allowed to initiate operations using payment cards.

More tips and important details on using debit/credit cards on CEX.IO can be found in our Payment cards guide.
