Address verification is an additional step of the account verification process that opens access to a wider range of payment methods and increases your daily account limits.

The Address Verification stage consists of two parts: confirming your address and connecting social network profiles. You can begin with either.

Please note that account verification can be done on the CEX.IO App. Below are the steps to verify your address on CEX.IO.

How to verify your address

1. Log in to your account via the CEX.IO App

2. Tap the Profile tab in the upper left-hand corner

3. Select Verification from the menu

4. Tap Start near Address Verification

Step 1: Enter your residential address details

Input your country, state/province, city, zip code, street address, and apartment/suite number (optional). After filling in all of the required fields, double-check that the information is correct, and tap Next.

Step 2: Select the type of document

Choose a document type from the list, or select Other Address Document and specify the document type. Then click Next at the upper right.

Step 3: Take a photo of the document

On this step, you need to provide a document that proves your place of residence. Examples may include a tax return, bank statement, or utility bill.

Before submitting the document, please make sure that:

  • It was issued within the last three months.

  • The document must contain the credentials of the issuing institution (e.g. logo), your first and last name, and your residential address on one page.

  • The document details are in Latin characters or have transliteration into Latin characters.

Once you're ready, please take a snapshot of your document.

  1. Place the document on a flat place with good light.

  2. Align the document within the frame, ensuring all edges are visible.

  3. Hold the camera steady above the document, keeping it parallel to avoid distortion.

  4. Ensure the text is clear and fully visible.

  5. Take a picture when everything is aligned properly by clicking Take a snapshot.

You can submit photos of up to ten (10) pages.

Please do not use any photo editors to modify your photos for address verification.

Also, make sure that details are clear to read, with no blur or glare.

Click It's readable to proceed, or Re-take photo if the document on the photo is unreadable.

(Optional) Link a social media profile

In most cases, a linked social network profile gives additional information that helps to confirm the data you’ve provided. You’re encouraged to link at least one social media profile on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, or any other social network or website.

In case you do not wish to link any social media accounts, tap Next two times. Your application will be sent for review without information about your social media profiles.

Final step

Once your address has been verified successfully, you’ll receive an email from our Compliance department to the email address used to create your CEX.IO account.

Following the completion of this process, increased deposit and withdrawal limits become available.

If you need any assistance with verification, contact our Support Team using the live chat button at the bottom right.
