CEX.IO offers intuitive Instant Buy/Sell services to purchase/sell digital assets in the CEX.IO App, and across our product ecosystem. While verified accounts may choose from a menu of possible payment methods, using a debit or credit card remains the most popular pathway to access the digital economy.
Alternatively, eligible participants can utilize these services to sell crypto without placing orders, and transfer that value to a preferred card in just a few taps.
To get started
Download CEX.IO App.
Log in to your CEX.IO account in the app.
Instant Buy
On the CEX.IO App home screen, tap the Add funds button.
From there, scroll through the list of supported digital assets, or use the search field at the bottom to find a preferred market. For this guide, let’s choose USDC.
Enter the amount you wish to buy, or spend, on the purchase screen. If necessary, you can also:
Change between your primary currency (USD, EUR, or GBP), and the selected digital asset, to define the desired amount.
Choose another asset for purchase.
Select an alternative payment method.
After specifying the amount and payment method, tap the Proceed button, and confirm the transaction. The purchased amount will then appear on your CEX.IO balance.
To change your preferred payment method, tap the Fund with button. On the following screen, choose one of the linked payment methods, or add a new one by tapping Link a new account.
Once a preferred payment method is set up, return to the previous screen to finalize the purchase.
Note: Eligible participants can choose a variety of pathways to buy crypto instantly with the CEX.IO App. For instance, users can tap one of the predefined packs on the home screen, and then specify the purchase amount, asset, and funding method.
Instant Sell
Crypto held in your CEX.IO balance may be sold at any time, and used to top up a linked credit/debit card, in a process similar to Instant Buy. To do so:
Tap the Send button on the home screen.
Select the digital asset you would like to sell. Let’s say USDT.
Enter the amount you wish to sell. If necessary, you can switch between your primary currency and a selected asset (1), change the asset being sold (2), and/or determine where to send fiat funds once the crypto sale is finalized (3).
Once the transaction details are established, tap the Proceed button to confirm the sale.
Utilizing the Instant Buy/Sell feature grants:
Reliability — By locking the price for 120 seconds, we help mitigate the chance of sudden price fluctuations.
Speed — Buy and sell transactions are executed instantly.
Simplicity — Only a few taps are required to buy or sell digital assets using a debit/credit card.
