How to place a trade order in CEX.IO App

  • Tap the Trade menu (looks like three candles) to reveal the list of supported markets.

  • Scroll the list and select a preferred market, or tap the magnifying glass icon, and enter a desired market in the search field. For example, enter USDT/USD in the search field, and then tap the pair to enter the trading terminal.

  • From the trading terminal, tap the Buy or Sell button to set up a trade order.

Here is a brief overview of what else you can do on this screen:

  1. See or change the selected market.

  2. Open the price chart for the selected market.

  3. Select a preferred trading account.

  4. Add funds to your CEX.IO Wallet, and/or transfer funds between different trading accounts.

  5. Check the current price, and order book details.

  6. Explore open orders, and see your trading history.

  7. Cancel all pending orders.

  • After tapping the Buy or Sell button, specify your order details, including:

    • Order type β€” CEX.IO App supports Market, Limit, and Stop Limit orders.

    • The amount you wish to buy/sell

If necessary, tap the Transfer button to deposit funds to a trading account. Once ready, tap the Buy/Sell button, check the transaction details, and confirm the operation to place the order.

After placing an order, it will be added to the order book for further execution.

What is the difference between supported order types?

  • Market orders enable you to buy/sell an asset at the best available price in the order book, with instant execution.

  • Limit orders let you set the price to buy/sell an asset. These are executed once the market price reaches a specified level.

  • Stop Limit orders execute at a specific level, or better, after the determined stop price has been reached.
