There are several ways to deposit cryptocurrency into a CEX.IO account.

On the Wallet page, you can click Add funds or the Get address button next to the preferred cryptocurrency or the Add funds button in the upper right corner.

If you click Add funds in the upper right corner:

  1. Select the needed crypto and click Select Payment method.

  2. Choose the Deposit address.

  3. Select Blockchain (if applicable) and copy the deposit address or use a QR code.

  4. Paste it into the withdrawal field in your external crypto wallet.

Also, you can click Add funds, or the Get address button next to the preferred cryptocurrency. The steps described above will be the same, except for the selection of the cryptocurrency in step 1.

Important:

  • We recommend only using personal wallets for crypto transactions.

  • The same wallet cannot be used to deposit or withdraw different currencies.
For example, BCH cannot be credited to a BTC wallet, just as Ethereum-based tokens (e.g., USDT, MATIC, SHIB) can be lost when sent to a native ETH wallet.

  • You’ll be prompted to select a network for transaction processing along with the deposit request. Make sure your external wallet address belongs to that particular blockchain.
Choosing a blockchain that is different from your external wallet network can result in extremely high transaction fees, and the potential loss of funds.
