At CEX.IO, we use 3D Secure verification to protect your payment information. In the event of encountering a failed payment authorization or an error related to 3D Secure, the list of possible reasons may include:

  • Your card may not support international and online payments, or your bank may not be enrolled in the 3D Secure verification program.

  • Your bank may be sending a netcode SMS to a different phone number than the one you are using β€” if you are overseas or abroad.

  • Your device or browser uses a pop-up blocker that may be preventing the 3D Secure page from opening.

If this error persists, you may try making the payment once again through a different web browser, with all browser extensions disabled.

Additionally, if the previous step does not help in solving the issue, please contact your card issuer or bank to confirm they support 3D Secure verification, and that your card can be used for online and international payments.
