Add Funds

You can add fiat or cryptocurrency to your CEX.IO account by following the steps below:

  1. Go to the Wallet page and click Add funds in the upper corner. Then select the currency you wish to deposit under the account dashboard.

  2. On the next page, click Select Payment method.

3. Depending on the currency and payment method, you'll need to follow the instructions provided below.

Crypto deposits

To receive your CEX.IO wallet address, choose Cryptocurrency address as your destination.

Then copy the deposit address and paste it into the withdrawal field in your external crypto wallet.

Important:

  • We recommend only using personal wallets for these types of crypto transactions.

  • The same wallet cannot be used to deposit or withdraw different currencies.
For example, BCH cannot be credited to a BTC wallet, just as Ethereum-based tokens (e.g., USDT, MATIC, SHIB) can be lost when sent to a native ETH wallet.

  • You’ll be prompted to select a network for transaction processing along with the deposit request. Make sure your external wallet address belongs to that particular blockchain.
Choosing a blockchain that is different from your external wallet network can result in extremely high transaction fees, and the potential loss of funds.

Fiat deposits

Card deposits, Google Pay, and Apple Pay deposits are available for users who’ve completed the verification process. To access wire transfers and alternative payment methods, eligible participants must complete the Address verification process for additional due diligence.

Bank transfers include SEPA transfers for European banks, Faster Payments transfers for U.K. banks, and SWIFT transfers for anywhere else around the world.

Visit our Limits and Commissions page to learn more about your account limits, payment methods available in your area, and commissions applicable for fiat and crypto transactions.

Once you decided with the payment method, enter the amount you wish to deposit in the “You will get” field. Check the fee and commission.

The total amount payable is indicated under the deposit amount in the "You will send" field. The Total amount under the Proceed button shows how much will be credited to your account.

Click Proceed to continue. Verify the payment details, and then click Confirm Deposit.

Send Funds

To send fiat or cryptocurrency from your CEX.IO account to an external account or wallet, you can follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the Wallet product and select the currency you would like to withdraw. You can use the search bar and type the currency name or ticker.

    2. Click the Withdraw button next to the chosen currency. Alternatively, you can click the Withdraw button in the upper right of the Wallet page, and then choose the currency you wish to withdraw.

4. Next, click Select the destination to choose where to send your funds.

Crypto withdrawals

To send crypto from your CEX.IO account to another wallet, choose Cryptocurrency address as your destination.

Then carefully enter your destination wallet address.

That being said, some crypto assets can be sent through multiple blockchains. For example, USDC can be deployed on the Ethereum, Tron, and Stellar networks. You’ll be prompted to select a network for transaction processing along with the withdrawal request. Make sure your destination address belongs to that particular blockchain. Choosing a blockchain that is different from your destination wallet network can result in extremely high transaction fees, and the potential loss of funds.

In the You will send field, enter how much cryptocurrency you wish to withdraw. The total amount after commission is deducted will appear below, alongside You will get.

Confirm that you have read and agreed with the Risk Notice, then click Proceed.

Verify your withdrawal details, then click Send.

Fiat withdrawals

For fiat currency withdrawals, choose a preferred payment card, bank account, or e-wallet as your withdrawal destination. Then, provide the necessary information (such as card details, IBAN for wire transfers, or email address).

Once you choose your withdrawal method, enter the amount you would like to transfer.

The Proceed button will be active once you confirm that you have read and agree with the Risk Notice.

Verify your details, and initiate the transaction by clicking Confirm Withdrawal in the pop-up screen.

6. After that, you’ll be asked to confirm the withdrawal with a 2FA code.

Once you execute the above steps, you will instantly receive a confirmation email to the address registered with your CEX.IO account. Follow the link in the email to confirm your transaction.

Please note that the confirmation link will expire in 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, you need to redo the above steps.

If you do not receive the confirmation email, please check this guide.

Once your cryptocurrency transfer is confirmed by CEX.IO, the transaction will be sent to its respective blockchain. When the transaction is confirmed by the network, funds will be credited to your destination wallet.

Finally, please also note the following:

  1. Cryptocurrency withdrawals are restricted for the first 48 hours after creating a CEX.IO account.

  2. Withdrawal functionality is only available after successfully enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) on your account.

  3. If you change or restore your 2FA method, withdrawals are restricted for the next 48 hours, to provide a buffer in the event of fraud.
