A market chart is a visual representation of a currency pair’s price over a set period. With a crypto market live chart, you can identify and analyze price movements, patterns, and tendencies to meet a variety of trading strategies.
There are three popular types of price charts — line, bar, and candlestick. While the data necessary to create these charts are nearly identical, the difference in presentation allows for a more nuanced interpretation of each type.
By default, Spot Trading displays a candlestick or OHLCV chart, which is a combination of a line and a bar graph.
OHLCV is an acronym for what the candlestick chart contains:
O — Open price;
H — High or maximum price in a selected period;
L — Low or minimum price in a selected period;
C — Close price;
V — Volume in a selected period.
Main chart area
This part includes the price graph itself, with OHLCV data.
A vertical line in a candlestick indicates the high-to-low range. The larger block or “body” represents the difference between an asset’s opening and closing price.
Candlesticks help visualize bullish or bearish sentiment by displaying “bodies” using different colors. The green color signifies price growth, while red signifies decline. Both are calculated by averaging the first and last trade executed in the selected period.
Settings bar
The Settings button allows you to change the parameters of the price chart:
Adjust timeframes;
