How to Add Funds to Spot Trading account

Deposit to your Wallet account.


To initiate a Deposit to the Spot Trading account customers can use one of the variants below:

1) Click on the Add Funds button in the right part of the trading terminal.

2) Go to the Finance page and click the Add Funds button either in the top left corner of the Accounts page or buttons located next to the currencies.

3) Use the Add funds feature on the CEX.IO Wallet web page or CEX.IO App

There are multiple payment methods available for eligible participants:

  • Deposit Address (applies for crypto only);

  • Google Pay;

  • Credit/Debit card;

  • Bank transfers (SWIFT, SEPA)

  • E-wallets (Skrill, Epay).


Deposit to your sub-account.

If you have created sub-accounts within Spot Trading, you can conveniently transfer funds to them by selecting your desired sub-account from the menu located in the upper left corner of both the Trade and Finances pages. After that, click the Add funds button.

Note: Account selector is active only if you have at least one sub-account. Check this article to learn how to create a sub-account on Spot Trading.

Once a customer clicks Add Funds, the pop-up window with the following information is displayed:

  • Assets - list of currencies available for deposit;

  • Available Balance - the current balance of assets on the chosen account;

  • CEX.IO Wallet - the balance in the respective currency on your Wallet account that is available for trading.

To proceed, select the asset (currency) of the deposit and click Next.


A pop-up window will appear showing deposit methods:

  • External Crypto Transfer (applies for cryptocurrencies only);

  • CEX.IO Wallet (main account);

  • Sub-Account Transfers (if you have more than 2 sub-accounts).

Note: If you choose the CEX.IO Wallet method, you will also see the Add Funds To Wallet button. By clicking this button, you'll be redirected to the CEX.IO Wallet page, where you can complete the transaction.

After choosing the deposit method, a customer needs to provide the following details:

  • Account, where to deposit funds;

  • The deposit amount (can be set by indicating the exact amount, or choosing the percentage of the wallet (main account) balance).

Pay attention to the Fee, Limit, and Processing time are displayed at the bottom.

Next, click Add Funds to proceed. A deposit confirmation pop-up window will appear.

Click Deposit to confirm. After that, a successful notification pop-up window will appear.
