Journeys can take many forms. Where some paths lead to great accomplishments, others serve to impart valuable lessons, at times complete with growing pains to emphasize the message. Our experience with GALA has been in the latter category, where situations beyond our control tested our community. As a tenured and dedicated crypto exchange, we knew it was our responsibility to devise a recovery plan that offered solutions to affected users, and we launched this effort earlier this year.
In the weeks that followed, we had many difficult conversations, and worked to resolve each instance, where necessary, on a case-by-case basis. As we continue addressing these inconveniences, we remain committed to refining our platform, and centering the health and safety of its global community. That’s why we’ve decided to realign our efforts away from these digital assets.
After careful review, we’ve decided to delist GALA and pGALA from our product ecosystem.
Beginning August 2, 2023 at 11:00 GMT, GALA and pGALA will be delisted on CEX.IO, and withdrawal capabilities reinstated for any remaining token balances. Withdrawal services will be available to users with existing GALA and pGALA balances for a period of 30 calendar days.
After 11:00 a.m. GMT on September 2, 2023, a daily storage fee of 200 GALA / 6000 pGALA will be applied in accordance with CEX.IO’s Terms of Use.
To avoid incurring daily storage fees, please withdraw any remaining GALA or pGALA by 11:00 GMT on September 2, 2023.
