How to add a card in CEX.IO mobile app?

 In CEX.IO mobile app you can easily add a debit or credit card to your CEX.IO account and make card deposits and withdrawals in a few clicks any time you need.

If you don't have the app yet, you can download it on the App Store or Google play:

 After you installed CEX.IO Bitcoin Exchange to your device, log in to your CEX.IO account in order to connect it with the app.

How do I add a card in CEX.IO mobile app?

To add a card in CEX.IO mobile app:

  1. Go to menu Profile 
  2. Select Card manager
  3. Click the Add card button

Then, provide information about your card and upload the required photos. 

You'll need to fill in:

  • Card number (16 digits)
  • The expiry date (MM/YY format)
  • Your first name (as in your identity document)
  • Your last name (as in your identity document)

Please note that you must be at least 18 years old to initiate operations using payment cards. 

Note: 

Your first and last name should correspond with those in your identity document (NOT your payment card) as this is the person on behalf of whom the payment will be processed.

Your first and last name should only contain characters of Latin alphabet, without diacritics (e.g. if your name is Иван Каменев, please type Ivan Kamenev; if your name is Maria Abád, please type Maria Abad).

Once you entered all the info, double-check it, and click Proceed. At the next step, submit photos to prove the card ownership.

If you've already verified your CEX.IO account, you'll need to submit only a selfie with your payment card.

If you haven't passed the Identity verification yet, we'll ask you for the photos of the front and backside of your identity document. 

You can take a photo using your device camera or upload it from the device gallery. When you are ready with photos, click Proceed.

Usually, it takes less than 20 minutes to check the card. 

As soon as it's verified, you'll receive a notification to your email address. Sometimes, we may need some additional information to verify your card. If that happens, our Compliance Officer will contact you via email (from support@cex.io).

You can always check the status of your cards in the Card manager section in the mobile app.

How do I remove a card from CEX.IO mobile app?

If you want to remove a card linked to your account, go to the Card Manager tab, select the card you would like to delete, and swipe left. You'll see the Delete option. Click it, and the card will be removed from your CEX.IO account.
