To align with the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA), we are implementing changes that affect USDT and DAI for users in the European Economic Area (EEA).
Important Dates & Actions
1 March 2025: Spot Trading suspension for USDT and DAI
We will close the trading functionality for pairs with USDT and DAI. You will only be able to cancel existing orders.
31 March 2025: Wallet, Savings, and Trading suspension
USDT and DAI deposit and withdrawal functionality will be removed.
CEX.IO Savings service will no longer support USDT and DAI, and the remaining balances and rewards will be moved to the main account balance.
All active trade orders will be automatically closed on 31 March.
1 April 2025 to 5 April 2025: Asset conversions
The remaining balances on your CEX.IO Wallet in USDT and DAI will be converted into alternative stablecoins.
What You Need to Do
As an EEA customer, you can choose to convert or withdraw USDT and DAI to avoid automatic conversion. If you prefer, your assets will be automatically converted to alternative stablecoins.
You can trade these affected assets until 1 March 2025. After this date, USDT and DAI trading will be suspended for EEA customers.
Please close any active trade orders for USDC and DAI before 31 March 2025. Any remaining open orders for these assets will be canceled on this date.
If you wish to manage your holdings outside CEX.IO, please withdraw your USDT and DAI before 31 March 2025.
Similarly, please withdraw any USDT and DAI from your Savings balances before 31 March 2025. Any remaining balances will be automatically transferred to your main account for automatic conversion.
